Coroner's Investigation Continues a Year After Jock Zonfrillo's Death

A year after the death of celebrity chef Jock Zonfrillo, the Coroner’s Court of Victoria is still investigating the circumstances surrounding his passing. Zonfrillo was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and raised in Ayr before immigrating to Australia in 2000. He became known for his work as a judge on Junior MasterChef Australia and programming director of the Tasting Australia food festival. Zonfrillo also founded The Orana Foundation in 2016 to preserve Indigenous Australian cooking techniques and ingredients.

The holiday commemorates the Mexican army's victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Mexican General Ignacio Zaragoza led the outnumbered and less equipped Mexican troops to victory against a larger, well-equipped French force.
