Trooping the Colour is a tradition dating back to the 17th century. Since 1755, it has been part of the daily Guard Mounting on Horse Guards in London. The modern parade celebrates the official Birthday of the Sovereign and involves their personal troops, the Household Division. It takes place annually in June on Horse Guards Parade with the Sovereign attending and taking the salute. The tradition evolved over time. Before 1987, the monarch rode side-saddle during the parade, wearing the uniform of the regiment whose Colour was being trooped. Since then, the Queen has participated in a carriage. The parade route starts at Buckingham Palace, proceeds down The Mall to Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall, and returns to Buckingham Palace.

President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on imports from Canada, Mexico, and China as a response to an emergency situation he declared due to illegal immigration and drug trafficking. He cited the influx of gang members, smugglers, human traffickers, and narcotics as posing a threat to national security. Trump implemented a 25% tariff on Canadian and Mexican goods and a 10% tariff on Chinese imports. He argued that these tariffs prioritize American safety and national security. The U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) came into effect in 2020, aiming to reshape trade relations between the three countries. The USMCA trade in goods and services reached an estimated $1.8 trillion in 2022, with the U.S. having a service trade surplus of $26 billion. Canadian researchers are also feeling the impact of funding cuts in US research agencies, disrupting collaborative projects with their American counterparts.

And Joe DiMaggio never hit a single home run over the fences at Yankee Stadium in that 45-degree graveyard. In 2007, Marotta jokingly said "millions of kids grew up thinking Joe DiMaggio was a famous appliance salesman." In 2000, after negotiations, DiMaggio's estate heirs (two granddaughters and their four children) agreed to rename San Francisco's North Beach playground, where DiMaggio first played baseball as a boy, the "Joe DiMaggio North Beach Playground". The "Joe DiMaggio Fields" in his hometown of Martinez, California, are also named after him. Hall of Fame teammate Phil Rizzuto recalled: “There was an aura about him. He could fit in any place in the world.”On the ball field Joe DiMaggio could do it all. That's the way I always saw Joe DiMaggio. He was beyond question one of the greatest players of the century."
