The dust grains eventually become the Eta Aquarids in May and the Orionids in October if they collide with Earth's atmosphere. The Eta Aquariid meteor shower is a long-duration shower, beginning just after mid-April and lasting through the end of May. The Eta Aquariid meteor shower 2025 is active between April 15 and May 27 and this year peaks overnight May 5-6.
