World War II: A Global Conflict Fueled by Unresolved Tensions and Rising Nationalism

The causes of World War II included unresolved tensions after World War I, the rise of fascism in Europe, and militarism in Japan. By early 1939, Nazi leader Adolf Hitler aimed to invade and occupy Poland. Poland had security guarantees from France and Britain.
