John Gallagher, who coached Andy Robertson at younger levels, recommended him to Queen's Park. This was convenient for Robertson and his family as the club is located in Glasgow's South side. Robertson even worked as a telephone service recipient for ticket bookings at Hampden Park where Queen's Park played their home games. Queen's Park lost their first leg of a match against Peterhead 1-0, with Peterhead scoring a penalty in stoppage time. Despite Robertson receiving a red card in a later 2-2 draw against Fulham, his manager praised his performance.
