World population has doubled (100% increase) in 40 years from 1959 (3 billion) to 1999 (6 billion). The United Nations projects world population will reach 10 billion in the year 2060 and 10.2 billion in 2100. The term “World Population” refers to the human population (the total number of humans currently living) of the world. In 2020, the global population growth rate fell below one percent for the first time since 1950. This decrease continues a trend begun in the 1970s, in which the population growth rate shows a consistent decrease when measured in five-year increments. While India's population is projected to continue to grow until at least the year 2050, China's population is currently contracting slightly. Only one other country in the world boasts a population of more than 1 billion people: China, whose population is estimated to be 1.42 billion people.

Our solar system contains the Sun, eight planets, five recognized dwarf planets, hundreds of moons, and thousands of asteroids and comets. It resides in the Milky Way galaxy, a barred spiral galaxy with two major arms and two minor arms. The Sun is located in the Orion Arm, a smaller arm within the Milky Way, between the Sagittarius and Perseus arms. Our solar system orbits the galactic center at approximately 515,000 mph (828,000 kph), taking about 230 million years to complete one orbit. The solar system formed at least 4.568 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of a region within a large molecular cloud. Asteroids, mostly composed of carbonaceous, refractory rocky and metallic minerals with some ice, are classified as small Solar System bodies and are primarily found between Mars and Jupiter. The "zone of habitability" is in the inner solar system where temperatures allow for liquid water on planetary surfaces or atmospheres.

Mike Lindell was ordered to pay $2.3 million in damages after a federal jury found him liable for defamation against Eric Coomer, a former Dominion Voting Systems employee. Lindell falsely accused Coomer of rigging the 2020 election. Coomer's lawyers focused on ten statements made by Lindell or on his platform FrankSpeech that they argued were defamatory. While Lindell was personally found liable, the jury did not find his company, My Pillow, liable for defamation. He has since used his legal troubles to promote his products.
