Australian bat lyssavirus (ABLV) is a virus closely related to rabies, found in Australia. It infects bats, primarily Yellow-bellied Sheathtail Bats. Humans can contract ABLV through contact with infected bats. The incubation period for ABLV varies from weeks to almost two years. Four cases of ABLV infection have been reported in humans. Rabies vaccine is recommended to protect against both rabies and ABLV before potential exposure. If bitten or scratched by a bat, seek immediate medical attention. Treatment includes wound care, tetanus vaccination, the rabies vaccine, and possibly human rabies immunoglobulin (HRIG). The rabies vaccine can cause mild side effects like redness or soreness at the injection site.

A new database called "Lost and Found" will allow people to search for unpaid retirement benefits. This is helpful because workers can lose track of their retirement plans when they change jobs, or if a previous employer merges or goes out of business. The database will be powered by information provided to the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) by retirement plan administrators and third parties.

Tom Liberatore is a key figure in the Western Bulldogs' midfield. Drafted via father-son selection in 2010, he followed in his father Tony Liberatore's footsteps, who was also a Brownlow Medallist for the club. He played a vital role in the Bulldogs' 2016 premiership run despite an ankle injury. After a challenging 2015 season due to a knee injury, Liberatore reached his best form since 2014 in 2021. In 2023, he achieved the milestone of playing 200 games for the Bulldogs, becoming only the 12th father-son draftee to reach this feat for the same club as their father.
