The ASICS Gold Coast Marathon will be held on Saturday 5 – Sunday 6 July 2025. Eight races are part of the event: the ASICS Gold Coast Marathon, Wheelchair Marathon, China Airlines Half Marathon, Wheelchair 10km, Southern Cross University 10km Run, Gold Coast Airport 5km, Wheelchair 5km, Australia Fair 2km Junior Dash and Fixx Nutrition Gold Coast Double 63.3km. The course is flat, fast and scenic, alongside the city's surf beaches and broadwater. Ideal winter running conditions result in 60% of participants achieving personal best times each year.

Guy Sebastian's car was towed by a company, and when he contacted the police, they informed him it had been stolen. He spent weeks calling tow companies before finally reaching someone who confirmed his vehicle was at their lot. While on hold with the police for 45 minutes, Sebastian drove to a nearby car wash as he waited.

Irene Roberts is an American mezzo-soprano opera singer. She made her Metropolitan Opera debut in 2012 and her San Francisco Opera debut in 2013. She has also performed at the Bavarian State Opera and has a close relationship with the San Francisco Opera. Roberts was born in Sacramento, California, and studied voice at the University of the Pacific and the Cleveland Institute of Music. She is a graduate of the Palm Beach Opera’s Young Artist Programme and a winner of the 41st Palm Beach Opera Singing Competition.

Australian bat lyssavirus (ABLV) is a virus closely related to rabies, found in Australia. It infects bats, primarily Yellow-bellied Sheathtail Bats. Humans can contract ABLV through contact with infected bats. The incubation period for ABLV varies from weeks to almost two years. Four cases of ABLV infection have been reported in humans. Rabies vaccine is recommended to protect against both rabies and ABLV before potential exposure. If bitten or scratched by a bat, seek immediate medical attention. Treatment includes wound care, tetanus vaccination, the rabies vaccine, and possibly human rabies immunoglobulin (HRIG). The rabies vaccine can cause mild side effects like redness or soreness at the injection site.

August Holmgren is a Danish professional tennis player born on April 22, 1998. He played college tennis for the San Diego Toreros from 2017 to 2022, earning numerous West Coast Conference (WCC) honors. Holmgren made his ATP debut at the 2021 San Diego Open after receiving a lucky loser spot when Félix Auger-Aliassime withdrew. In July 2024, he won his first Challenger title in Pozablanco, Spain, defeating top seed Antoine Escoffier.
