The ASICS Gold Coast Marathon will be held on Saturday 5 – Sunday 6 July 2025. Irene Roberts is an American mezzo-soprano opera singer. She made her Metropolitan Opera debut in 2012 and her San Francisco Opera debut in 2013. She has also performed at the Bavarian State Opera and has a close relationship with the San Francisco Opera. Roberts was born in Sacramento, California, and studied voice at the University of the Pacific and the Cleveland Institute of Music. She is a graduate of the Palm Beach Opera’s Young Artist Programme and a winner of the 41st Palm Beach Opera Singing Competition.

Australian bat lyssavirus (ABLV) is a virus closely related to rabies, found in Australia. It infects bats, primarily Yellow-bellied Sheathtail Bats. Humans can contract ABLV through contact with infected bats. The incubation period for ABLV varies from weeks to almost two years. Four cases of ABLV infection have been reported in humans. Rabies vaccine is recommended to protect against both rabies and ABLV before potential exposure. If bitten or scratched by a bat, seek immediate medical attention. Treatment includes wound care, tetanus vaccination, the rabies vaccine, and possibly human rabies immunoglobulin (HRIG). The rabies vaccine can cause mild side effects like redness or soreness at the injection site.

August Holmgren is a Danish professional tennis player born on April 22, 1998. He played college tennis for the San Diego Toreros from 2017 to 2022, earning numerous West Coast Conference (WCC) honors.
