Kumanjayi Walker, born Charles Arnold Walker, was born in 2000 in Alice Springs. He died in November 2019 during a confrontation with Constable Zachary Rolfe at his home in Yuendumu. Rolfe shot Walker in the back, causing his death. Rolfe was charged with murder and intends to plead not guilty. The case has been postponed due to the complexity of evidence, which includes over 160 witness statements, hundreds of documents, and multiple body camera videos.
