The 51st G7 summit will be held in Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada from June 15 to 17, 2025. This marks the second time Kananaskis hosts a G7 summit, following the 28th G8 summit in 2002. Families of those who perished have filed a criminal complaint against 15 individuals, including the transport minister and Jeju Air's CEO, alleging professional negligence. Police already initiated a criminal investigation before the complaint and barred the airline CEO from leaving the country. No indictments have been made yet.
