The UK Carrier Strike Group (UKCSG) is a carrier battle group of the Royal Navy. The earliest iteration formed in 2006. In 2021, Carrier Strike Group 21 embarked on a seven-and-a-half month deployment to the Pacific, visiting over 40 countries and meeting with US task groups in the Gulf of Aden. Carrier Strike Group 24 participated in Exercise Nordic Response, combining with NATO and Norwegian naval units. The HMS Prince of Wales aircraft carrier will lead Carrier Strike Group 25 (CSG25) on a mission to the Indo-Pacific designated ‘Operation HIGHMAST’. This follows CSG21's deployment and is the first carrier-led mission since then. Exercise Strike Warrior in September 2024 marked the first deployment of 809 NAS on a Royal Navy carrier after its recommissioning. HMS Prince of Wales has been visited by HM King Charles III as it prepares for CSG25.

The Sycamore Gap tree, a 150-year-old sycamore by Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland, England, was felled on September 28, 2023. The tree was popular with photographers and creatives, inspiring many works of art. In March 2024, new life sprouted from rescued seeds and twigs of the Sycamore Gap tree.
