Scott McTominay scored Manchester United's 2,000th Premier League goal during a 3–1 victory against Norwich City in October 2023. He also played a key role in United's record-equalling 9–0 win over Southampton in February 2021, scoring one of the goals. McTominay continued his goal-scoring streak with the winning goal in a 2–1 away victory against Aston Villa in February 2024. He scored again in United's semi-final match against Coventry City, giving them an early lead in the game. In June 2023, McTominay scored his fifth goal during Scotland's qualifying group stage in a 2–0 win against Georgia. Antonio Conte recently stated that McTominay is performing better now than he did at Manchester United.
